How many questions are in the TEFL final exam? ›

Please note that this exam is part of your final assessment (part of 6 exams in total) and it is timed. You can only take this exam once. You will have 15 minutes to complete this exam. This exam contains 30 questions.

The Level 5 is more challenging than a Level 3 Course, and this means you'll struggle if you aren't a native English speaker. If you're not a native English speaker but your English is near native, you can enrol onto the course. We must stress that for Level 5, native English is best.

420-hour Level 5 Advanced TEFL Diploma

The average time taken to complete this course is 12-20 weeks but, as with the 500-hour course, you'll receive a certificate after you complete the first 180 hours (usually around 6 weeks in) so you can earn while you study!

To complete the course successfully you are required to complete and pass two assignments as well as completing the 'Test your knowledge' tests for units 1 - 9. The tests are automatically marked and you will need to achieve 80% to pass.

How long does it actually take to complete a TEFL course? There are different courses with different hours but, on average, our students take between 10 to 12 weeks to complete our most popular 120-hour online TEFL course . Depending on your other commitments it can take you more or less time.

The certification is awarded only if you receive a passing grade, so once you achieve 70% you will achieve a TEFL qualification. You will receive regular grades on assignments and tests, you must get 70% on each one. If you fail a test or assignment, it is possible to re-attempt coursework as many times as you need.
