5S Checklist for Warehouse Operations - Frontline Data Solutions (2024)

Keeping your warehouse clean is one of the easiest ways toprevent safety incidents. But it’s not as easy as you would think. Using the 5S system to maintain order and cleanliness is something that many operations leaders turn to as a solution.

This 5S checklist covers all steps (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain). All you have to do is go through each step and answer the statement with “yes,” “no,” or “N/A.” If you want to customize the form, you can even get rid of the “N/A” option entirely.

Add or remove list items depending on the type of items you store in your warehouse. If you store tires, for example, you might need to include information about temperature and humidity control. This is just one example of how to customize the 5S warehouse checklist to suit your site’s specific needs.
