Do you only make sweet potato chips?
No, we don't! While sweet potatoes will always hold a special place in our hearts, we have expanded our range to include additional snacks. Sweet potatoes are a fantastic source of beta-carotene, the pro-vitamin that converts to Vitamin A, with 40% of the daily recommended allowance in our sweet potato chips. Now, as a company shifting our focus to snacks cooked in better-for-you oils, we offer not only sweet potato chips but also classic kettle chips, all cooked in avocado oil.
What makes avocado oil a healthier option for cooking?
We cook all our sweet potato chips in premium avocado oil because it provides a wealth of health benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Premium oils such as avocado have been around for thousands of years, and aren’t created in a factory unlike oils such as vegetable or canola. We like to think of them as our healthy heroes!
What are the health benefits of heirloom sweet potatoes?
The non-GMO heirloom sweet potatoes we use have been shown in studies to help with diabetes, heart disease, obesity and even cancer. Talk about a superfood!
Why don’t you use organic potatoes?
Jackson’s uses Non-GMO verified potatoes, a process that requires stringent evaluation and certification. As such, Jackson’s works with exclusive farmer partners to source and harvest sweet potatoes grown without genetically modified organisms.
Are your products vegan? Gluten-free? Paleo-friendly? Peanut-free? Kosher?
Yes! All of our sweet potato chips are vegan, gluten-free, paleo-friendly, peanut-free and kosher. So go ahead, Snack Super!
Why do you cook your chips low and slow?
Traditional potato chips are cooked via a rapid, high-heat frying process. This releases damaging free radicals into the oil, which are then absorbed by the body. By cooking our chips low and slow, we maintain the stability and integrity of the oil’s healthy fats. It also allows us to keep more of the nutritional vlaue from the raw sweet potato in our product.That means a reduced amount of unwelcome free radicals—and a super taste and texture sensation!
Can you explain why there’s a warning on your label about acrylamide?
The Proposition 65 warning about acrylamide is required by California law. Any product sold in the state of California that could contain acrylamide due to the cooking process must share this warning label. If you live outside of California, this may be new information as the big snack brands often print different bags specifically for the state of California.
It's our understanding that all foods that are generally fried under relatively high temperatures warrant this type of disclosure. Acrylamide production happens naturally throughout the cooking process and is NOT added to the product as an individual, secondary ingredient. We stand strongly behind the premium ingredients we use and the low & slow frying process that we use relative to other foods fried in oil and hope this warning does not push you away from our product!
Furthermore, this label applies mostly to continuously fried chips as they are cooked at a much higher temperature compared to our low & slow kettle method. But unfortunately, under the prop 65 guidelines they do not differentiate between the different frying methods.

Can I swap or add extra products in my subscription order?
You can swap your original subscription product with different products. You can also add new subscription products to your order and add new one-time purchase items to your order. When you select your item, you have the option to make it a One Time or Subscription item purchase.This is great for trying new flavors and products.
Can I change the flavors in a custom build a box bundle when I have a subscription?
Absolutely, you can customize the items in your build a box bundle before your next subscription order date. You can also swap your custom build a box for a different bundle size and variety if you’d like. You have super control of your subscription.
Can I gift my next subscription order to a friend or family member?
Absolutely. You can gift a subscription order to someone. You just need their name, contact and shipping address. They will receive the order on your designated order next date. You will be billed as normal for the subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
After accessing your subscription page, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Cancel Subscription. You will be promoted to Pause Subscription, Skip Next Order, or Cancel Subscription. You can always reactivate your subscription after canceling.
How do I manage my subscription?
Log into your account here to control all aspects of your subscription. You can adjust delivery frequency (weekly or monthly), change shipment dates, get immediate deliveries, skip or pause orders, or even gift an order. Your subscription will resume normally after any skips or pauses. Your subscription portal gives you full flexibility to tailor deliveries to your snacking needs.
