To have the best shot of getting in, you should aim for the 75th percentile, with a 1530 SAT or a 35 ACT. You should also have a 4.07 GPA or higher. If your GPA is lower than this, you need to compensate with a higher SAT/ACT score.

1450 SAT Score Standings

Out of the 2.13 million test-takers, 61064 scored the same or higher than you. You can apply to 1447 colleges and have a good shot at getting admitted.

The average successful applicant had a GPA of 3.6 and an SAT score of right around 1200—more than 75% of those who applied were welcomed to Athens. However, in 2024, the average UGA admit possessed SATs within a mid-50% range of 1280-1470 and a GPA above 4.0.

Similarly, Harvard University accepts students with an SAT score of above 1500. On the other hand, Georgetown University has a 1450 SAT as its average score.

You should target scoring 1460 or above to be most competitive with other applicants. Georgia Tech regularly admits students with SAT scores down to 1370 on a 1600 scale. However, three quarter of admitted students score higher. If you score below a 1370, admission should be considered a reach.

University of Georgia has an acceptance rate of 43%. Half the applicants admitted to University of Georgia who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1220 and 1420 or an ACT score of 27 and 32.

SAT scores from 1280 to 1360 are on the very low end of the range where students are accepted. Scores in this range are not competitive with most other applicants but you still have a chance. We estimate scores in this range have less than a 9% chance of admission to Georgia Tech.
