The minimum wage goes up in Portugal

In 2023, the national minimum wage in Portugal remained fixed at €886.7 per month, that is 10,640 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

Accordingly the national minimum wage has been raised 64.2 Euros per month from the previous year, 7.81%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2022 which was 9.6%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
