What is the SCQF Level 5 award? ›

Customer Service Award (SCQF Level 5) This Award develops skills, knowledge and understanding essential for providing professional customer service by developing good communication and effective listening skills, enabling learners to provide customers with appropriate information to meet their needs.

Uses a range of practical and planning skills and applies theoretical and hypothetical thinking to address issues or solve problems; uses established processes to address straightforward problems or issues.

The Certificate in Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver at SCQF level 5 develops essential knowledge through the nine mandatory units: Workplace Health and Safety. Safely Transport Passengers. Professional Customer Service.

Level 5 is the equivalent to the second year of a Bachelor's Degree programme. It is also equivalent to a HND diploma. The Level 5 course also has 10 modules and 8 assignments, which also provide the student with 120 university credits upon completion.

All qualifications in Scottish education are given credits as part of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). There are many Scottish qualifications, including: Nationals. Highers. SVQs.

There are 12 SCQF levels, with level 1 being the least demanding (the introductory level of qualification) and level 12 the most demanding (for example, PhDs). SCQF level 7 is the starting point of the higher education levels on the framework.

Learners will develop their understanding of the current first aid procedures by following the procedures set out in the Health and Safety Executive guidelines. This SCQF Level 5 course is ideal for you if you are interested in a career working with children and young people and if your first language is not English. The course will allow you to improve your English language level alongside your understanding and experience of a range of key areas in Childhood Practice.

The award is designed for learners who take, or plan to take, a leading role in their activities. The Leadership Award may appeal to a wide range of candidates, including: S5 and S6 pupils involved in leadership activities or who wish to develop leadership skills.

Learners at SCQF level 5 are required to deal with finding a solution to a non- routine situation or issue. If the situation is unfamiliar to the learners then the relationships between the variables affecting the situation should be clear.

Level 7 is equivalent to an Advanced Higher, Higher National Certificate, or first year of a degree programme.
