I was at the point where I wanted to continue my education and I knew there was an opportunity to do so with the Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP). I cannot stress enough that I am a different person because of this company. It has truly shaped me as a person and taught me that what I value most professionally and personally is a sense of togetherness through community.

I didn’t think that joining a coffee company would have offered so many opportunities for personal and professional growth. I’ll be graduating with a bit of an edge – this fellowship opportunity would have never happened if I wasn’t an SCAP student. I feel so much more confident in the direction my life is heading.

My future goals are to use my degree gained through the SCAP program to impact communities both here and abroad.
Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP) FAQ
After I’m hired, when would I be eligible to apply and enroll?
To participate in the Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP), partners (employees) must be benefits-eligible and complete the required program application process before session start. Part-time U.S. mainland partners establish initial benefits eligibility the first day of the second month after receiving at least 240 total hours over three full, consecutive months (20 hours per week on average). We want to give you every opportunity to start classes as soon as you can. Regardless of tenure, you can apply to ASU as a Starbucks partner, and your application fee will be waived. You can work with an enrollment coach to determine your options for session start dates based on an approximate date you may satisfy benefits eligibility.
As a program participant, what should I expect to pay out-of-pocket for my tuition and fees?
The Starbucks College Achievement Plan benefit covers 100% of tuition and fees. Other educational expenses, such as textbooks and laptops, are not covered.
