At CHEP we own and reuse every single one of our pallets. We do this because it allows us to work together with customers to reduce emissions, keep wood waste out of landfill, boost reliability, save warehouse space and ultimately provide a better service to manufacturers and supply chains all around the world.

When you pass pallets back to us, we check and repair them before passing them on to the next customer. And the same thing happens before you take delivery of any CHEP pallets. Our pallets shouldn’t be sold

We own every blue CHEP pallet you see. No exceptions. So, it’s illegal to buy, sell, exchange, trade or discard CHEP pallets. If you find one, you can’t sell it, but you can help us collect it. Just to be clear, if you engage in any activity that’s inconsistent with CHEP’s ownership of its pallets and other property, you may face civil liability and/or criminal penalties or sanctions. Such activity may involve buying or accepting shipments of CHEP pallets without authorisation; selling, trading, exchanging or re-using CHEP pallets; refusing to allow CHEP to retrieve its pallets; or destroying CHEP pallets.

Our pallets should be easy to spot

They’re blue and they’re clearly marked as being the property of CHEP. We never sell or relinquish ownership of our pallets, so if it looks like a CHEP pallet, it probably is a CHEP pallet.
